Ingredient

It contains trademarked AC ACUMEN COMPLEX that comes with vitamins known for moisturizing agents and antioxidants. As a result, it keeps your scalp hydrated and healthy. 

Also, Keratin Amino Acids are there in this shampoo that works for improving hair structure

Appearance

The shampoo is a moderately thick liquid with a brownish color. At first glance, you may think that it is a face wash or something. With a smooth texture, it ensures a good hand-feel. 

The bottle that contains the shampoo is not transparent. A Brown bottle with a silver-colored label is a signature of American Crew. I like the overall appearance.

Application

It lathers up easily and quickly. So, you won’t have to apply a lot. 

Wet your hair properly. Make sure that water has reached all over your scalp. Then, take some shampoo on your palm and apply it to your hair and scalp. Massage properly for 2-3 minutes. Lastly, rinse it off from your hair properly. 

The Result

I was satisfied with this shampoo after the first use. It lathered up quickly. Also, it left a scent on my hair. I like it though I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying that the scent is not that pleasant. It cleaned my scalp and gave me a feeling that I’d lost some weight from my head. 

It was gentle on my scalp. The overall experience of applying it to my hair for the first time was good.

But I was looking for the result I was looking for thick hair.

Though it can be used daily, I used to use it on alternate days. 

I started seeing improvement after a week. It was just a visible improvement and my hair was looking thicker. But the thin strands didn’t turn thicker. It was just an illusion I guess.

Within a month, it made my hair look better. People started thinking that I’d gone through some kind of treatment. But, still, it was an illusion as I didn’t see much improvement in the thickness of hair strands. Those were shinier and better, but still thin. 

So, I thought of applying the shampoo every day. 

After the next month, there was no visible improvement in hair strands. I found that the rate of breakage is lower than before. This has influenced the look of my hair for sure. Just like before, my hair was looking fuller. 

So, I decided to stop using it and look for something that can reduce hair fall from the root.

Overall, I was not totally dissatisfied with American Crew Acumen Daily Thickening shampoo. It does what it says- calmly cleaning the scalp and visibly improving the thickness of hair. So, I can’t complain actually. 

I just expected more and it couldn’t provide that. That’s why I had to change it. 

Comparing the price and result, I think it is not a bad choice if you just want your hair to look thicker.

If you’re looking for something that can improve your hair strands and make those thicker, this is not the one you should go for. But it can make your hair look fuller and better.
