A night cream is an important part of the skincare routine as it helps your skin to recover from daytime damages. But you won’t get the benefits until you pick the right night cream according to your need. Here I’m going to talk about the night cream I use from Elizabeth Arden.
Elizabeth Arden has a few night creams under their brand name and I’ve used two. The Prevage Anti-ageing Overnight Cream was the first one from them. They’ve announced the Advanced Ceramide Lift and Firm Night Cream lately. No wonder I switched to the latest one after they introduced it.
As I’ve used both, I guess I should talk about both. But before that, let’s know about Elizabeth Arden.
About Elizabeth Arden
Elizabeth Arden is a well-known brand in the beauty and personal care industry. This brand is known for offering natural products that promote skin health instead of just covering it.
The brand was started by Florence Nightingale Graham. She started her Red Door Salon in New York in 1910. From there, she started developing beauty and skincare products. With her innovative mind, she has pioneered several trends in the industry. She is known as one of the pioneers of eye makeup.
The mission of developing natural products was started by Florence Nightingale Graham and is still continued by Elizabeth Arden. As a result, the products under this brand come with natural ingredients that are focused on the true improvement of the skin. I’m using their products and I’m sure about that.
Elizabeth Arden Night Cream Review
Prevage Anti-aging Overnight Cream
I’ve already said that Prevage Anti-ageing Overnight Cream is my first night cream from Elizabeth Arden. I was not sure about it before picking it. I just wanted to switch to a new one and picked it as one of my friends suggested to me.
I had a mixed feeling about the packaging. It comes in a very attractive silver-colored casket. It seemed lovely to me.
Opening it, I was a bit shocked seeing the golden thing inside. I’ve never seen any cream that comes with this color. Well, I love the color, to be honest. But the ‘golden cream inside a silver casket’ combination didn’t impress me at all.
Well, I don’t care much about the package as long as it can protect the thing inside. Let’s focus on the cream inside.
I love the texture of it. It is neither so thick nor so thin. This has made the consistency smooth and creamy. So, you can apply it to your skin easily. Just take a pea-sized amount of the cream on your fingers and apply it to your face. It gives a silky feel while applying.
I hate when creams don’t get absorbed quickly. But I couldn’t hate this one because it was extremely fast in penetrating my skin. It left the skin surface within a few minutes.
The instant feeling after applying the cream was good. It comes with a light scent that makes me feel amazing. Besides, there was a visible improvement on my skin after the application. It moisturized my skin instantly before going to bed.
After I woke up the next morning, there were no visible changes in wrinkles or fine lines. But the skin was looking hydrated.
After continuous use for a week, I started seeing the change I was waiting for. The sun damage was almost gone. The fine lines and wrinkles were disappearing slowly.
Within a month, the situation improved. It gave me smooth and hydrated skin free from wrinkles, fine lines, and sun damages.
It did its duty amazingly. Credit goes to Idebenone Ester and Vitamin E Acetate for fighting the free radicals and oxidative stress. Also, Glycerin, Shea, and Cocoa Butter deserve credit for supplying and binding hydration.
The only thing that I haven’t liked about this cream is the price. Compared to the result it shows, the price is okay. But I think it could come within a bit lower price range.
Overall, it deserves 8.5 out of 10.
Advanced Ceramide Lift and Firm Night Cream
After the Advanced Ceramide Lift and Firm Night Cream was introduced, I switched to this one. I was hoping that it can be better than the one I was using as it comes with some advanced technology as Elizabeth Arden says.
There was another reason- price. It was priced way reasonably compared to the price of Prevage Anti-aging Overnight Cream. So, I ordered this one.
My primary impression about this one was really good. The casket gave a premium feel.
The cream inside comes with a creamy and soft texture with a moderate thickness. I took a little amount and applied it to my face.
It didn’t give any greasy feeling to my skin but took a bit longer to get absorbed. I think I’ve overused it. But the next applications made me realize that this cream takes more time to penetrate the skin.
However, it was successful to bring instant hydration to my skin. It comes with 5x ceramide compared to the previous version of it. So, it was able to instantly hydrate and barrier the natural moisture of the skin.
The next morning, after I woke up, I felt that it had made my skin soft as the previous one did.
I was waiting for the lift and firm it offered, so I continued using it.
After a week, there was no visible change in the firmness of my skin. But the issues like fine lines and wrinkles were also absent. Also, the daytime sun damage kept vanishing in the morning.
After a month, my skin got some lift. Though it was not enough for me, I can’t expect more than this from a cream.
Overall, my experience with this one is also good. I’m still using it. Though it takes longer than Prevage to get absorbed, it delivers similar or a bit more advantages within a more reasonable price. So, I chose to continue using it.
I’ll give it 9 out of 10.
From my Elizabeth Arden Night Cream Review, you can see that the night creams I’ve used from Elizabeth Arden were really great. Both performed almost expectedly and delivered satisfactory results. So, I guess you should try these too.
I personally like the Prevage one, but it is a bit expensive for me. That’s why I’m using Advanced Ceramide Lift and Firm Night Cream. It’s amazing too from every aspect.
So, now it is time for you to pick one. Which is the one you’re going for?
